Pseudonymization methods
Consistent substitution
Each data value is replaced by another fictional but realistic one (names, cities, addresses) keeping consistency across the document: the same original always produces the same substitute.
Tokenization
Sensitive data becomes unique, reproducible keys (e.g. EMAIL_001), ideal for traceability, matching and analytics without exposing real information.
Partial masking
A controlled part of the value stays visible while the rest is hidden, preserving context without revealing the full value.
Preserving data format
Substitutes are not generic labels: they respect the type and format of the original data so the document remains usable.
Dates
Relative shift that preserves the time distance between dates in the document.
Amounts
Proportional scaling that keeps consistency between quantities and totals.
